Frédéric Fontaine

Fred is an FBI Agent, operating out of Houston, TX, but he wasn’t always. His home was in a small town in Northern Québec. While living in Canada, he worked as a police officer for the local station. During his time as a cop, he encountered a strange site one cold day, while investigating disappearances of twelve people. He found the people in a village, dead on the ground, bodies splayed into a strange curved star. The RCMP picked him up shortly after, and he was brought into the original M-Section, which evolved in 1986 into M-EPIC.

Fred worked for M-EPIC for a short time, less than a year, before encountering something unexplainable in the remote wilderness of an island not too far from home. He escaped with his life, and decided that enough was enough - Fred fled the country, and moved with his sister to the United States.

In August of 1993, Fred was called upon by Judge Jacob Morrison to investigate the mysterious suicide of Morrison’s senior agent, George Lewiston. Fred was relatively new, but Jacob had heard good things about him from other case officers. He was paired with a professor, Dorothy Somerset, and together with her they began running down the leads. During this investigation, they met Willow Keason.
